KELBURN HOME GUARD

At the meeting of the Kelburn subarea of the Wellington Home Guard last night about 25 of the 90 men enrolled elected to serve in the Civil Guard. These men were unable to proceed with their training but those in the military section held their first parade during the evening. The parade was taken by Major F. E. Greenish, M.C., and the following were appointed platoon commanders: —Messrs. H. L. Cooper (No. 1 platoon) and C. H. Dinnie (No. 2 platoon). Each platoon paraded with a strength of about 30 men.
