INTER-CLUB ROWING

REGATTA

Modifications of the usual Mothes Shield regatta programme, necessitated by the absence of oarsmen on military service, were decided upon by a meeting of the Wellington Rowing Association last night.

The regatta is to be held on Saturday, February 8, and the following is the programme:—

2 p.m., Maiden Double Sculls; 2.15 p.m., Welterweight Fours; 2.35 p.m., Youths' Single Sculls; 2.50 p.m.. Handicap Double Sculls: 3.10 p.m., Maiden Fours; 3.35 p.m., Open Pairs; 3.50 p.m., Youths' Fours; 4 p.m., Handicap Single Sculls; 4.10 p.m., Junior Pairs.

The following officials were appointed for the regatta:—Judges, Messrs. A. D. Balfeild, A. G Cockroft, W. J. Gaudin, and G. Earney; starter, Mr. S. I. Kidd; handicapper, Mr. P. A. Abbott; umpires, the club captains.

It.was decided to congratulate C. H. Burnidge and M. Clark on their performance in winning the Handicap Double Sculls at the Norton Cup regatta.
