LOSSES REPLACED
WITH SOME TO SPARE
LONDON, January 11
Vice-Admiral Muselier, commander of the Free French naval forces, broadcasting, said: "For every ship destroyed we have armed three more ships. We now have 80 merchantmen operating, of which 30 are manned by French crews. More than 30 of our warships are participating in operations. "Our surface warships defend lines of communication, escorting convoys, and chasing submarines. The Free French fleet in the first two months of its activity lost two warships, one submarine, one patrolship, and four merchantmen. We have formed a battalion of marines who will soon be fighting in Libya."
