Christchurch.—The tenth round of the Canterbury Cricket Association's competitions wa« played on Saturday in fine weather. Wickets were fast and some brilliant batting performances were recorded. 31. P. Donnelly, playing for Army, scored one of the fastest centuries ever recorded in club cricket, taking only 52 .minutes. He hit 31 off the next over and finished with 133 not out in 57 minutes, including five o's and twenty 4's. D. Moynihan (West Old Boys) scored his fourth century of the season, making 106 in 73 minutes in a brilliant display. Previously he had taken five wickets for 18 runs against Harewood. The third century of the day was made by D. P. White for East Christchurch against West Christchurch in two hours. He hit three 6's and ten 4's. Another outstanding performance was that of B. E. J. Menzies, who, playing his first game after a period in camp, took five catches in the slips for St. Albans against Rlccarton. East Christchurch, 221 for six wickets declared (White 101 not out, James 50—Nee four for 60), drew with West Christchurch, 140 for seven wickets (Geary 69 —A. Andrews three for 12, Lohrey three for 35). Old Boys, 231 (Hill 57, Brittan ■10, Hadlee 34— J. C. Saunders three for 49. C. O. Hamilton three for 85), drew with Old Collegians, 162 for three (C. G. Burtt three for 45, Mulcock four for 65), on th 9 first innings. Army, 178 for one wicket (Donnelly 133 not out, Monteath 40 not out), beat Wigram, 172 (J. E. Smith 39, Mackay 37— Cutler five for 39), on the first innings. West Old Boys, 169 for four wickets declared (Moynllian 106, Hadley 43 —Donaldson two for 32), beat Harewood, 96 (Young 38 —Moynihan five for 18, Porteous three for-40, Wyse two for 11) and 73 for. three wickets.

Dunedin.—A heavy rainstorm shortly after 5 p.m. curtailed local cricket on Saturday. Carislirook A, 249 (H. Cameron 103 —Galland three for 55, Chettleburgh three for 62), met Grange, one for 11. Carisbrook B, 208 (Geary 73, Nimmo 64—Groves four for 64), met Old Boys. Kaikorai, 162 (Allcott 36, Boock 42—Ledgerwood seven for 49), met Dunedin.
