DAMAGED 8.8.C.
VISIT BY DUKE OF KENT
LONDON, January 10.
The Duke of Kent today, visited Broadcasting House and other 8.8.C. premises to inspect the damage done by bombs. He was accompanied by the chairman of the B:B.C, the director-general, and the chief engineer. During, his tour of the wreckage he saw what remains of the studio in which two years ago he made his broadcast to Australia. The announcer who was reading the news in the 8.8.C. home service at the time the first bomb exploded was presented to him.
