ALLEGED SPYING
SENTENCES IN ITALY

LONDON, December 22,
It is reported from Rome that a firing squad shot at dawn two men who had been convicted of membership of a spy ring operating in Italy on behalf of a foreign Power. One was alleged to have been concerned in espionage at Tarafrfco. One woman and" two men were sentenced to life imprisonment and 19 persons, including a woman, to shorter terms. Those convicted included personnel of the navy and a worker in a naval construction yard.
