The official cost-of-living figures to November 3.0 were 93 per cent, above, the July, 1914, level, according to Ministry of Labour's National Service Bulletin. The rise, at three points since November 1 last, equals "about 1£ per cent. For food alone on November 30 the figure was 73 points above July, 1914. The level of clothing—partly due to the purchase tax— and coal were items other than food contributing to the rise.
