TRAFFIC ARRANGEMENTS

The route through the city for the parade of troops from Trentham Camp and Territorial units is to be kept clear of wheeled traffic. After the ceremony in the grounds of Parliament Buildings, the troops will march through the city by way of Lambton Quay, Willis Street, Mercer Street, Lower Cuba Street, Jervois Quay, Customhouse Quay, and so back to Waterloo Quay and the railway station. Wellington Terrace, between Woodward and Bowen Streets will be kept clear of all traffic between 9 a.m. and 11 a.m. Lambton Quay, Willis Street, and Mercer Street, are to be kept clear of traffic between 9.30 a.m. and 11.30 a.m.; and Lower Cuba Street, Jervois Quay, Customhouse Quay, and Waterloo Quay will be barred to motor traffic between 10 ajn. and 11.45 a.m.

The Ist Battalion, the Wellington Regiment (City of Wellington's Own) under Lieutenant Colonel A. L. George is to take part in the march. The battalion will assemble in Waterloo Quay, adjacent to the railway station, at 9.15 a.m. This will be the first public appearance of the battalion after its march through the city on return from camp at Wanganui at the end of September.
