WEDDING
BILLS—WOOD. A military wedding took place in' the Presbyterian Church, Otaki, re-, cently, when Robina (Ruby), only daughter of Mrs. and the late Mr. R. W. Wood, Otaki, was married to Private Walter F. (Chaps) Bills, second1 son of Mrs. and the late Mr. J. R.1 Bills, Otaki. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. J. Gumming. The bride, who was escorted by Mr. W. Thomson, wore a trained frock of magnolia, satin and needlerun lace. Her bridal veil (lent by Mrs. H. Tilbury) was worn with a coronet of orange blossom, and she carried a bouquet of cream roses. The bridesmaid, Miss Alice Freeman, wore a frock of white cobweb \ lace and blue ribbons, with blue veil and halo of blue and pink forget-me-nots, and carried a blue and pink bouquet. Lance-Corporal Neville St. George was the best man, and Mr, K. Terry was usher. A guard pf honour was formed at the church by members of the Otaki Volunteer Fire Brigade. Mrs. Wood received the guests at a reception held in the Anglican Hall, and later a surprise sherry party was given by Mr. and Mrs. N. M. Thomson at their home in Levin for members and friends of the Manawatu Hunt Club, to which both bride and bridegroom belong.
