PERSONAL NOTES
Mrs. N. W. McD. Weir and Miss Weir, who have been living in Auckland for some time, returned to Wellington yesterday and will make their home here. Mrs. M. M. Dreaver, Newmarket, will leave Auckland by air today for Wellington to attend the Obstretical ! and Gynaecological Society conference. Mrs. M. Peachey (Mount Cook Home and School Association) was elected to the executive of the Wellington School i Committees' and Educational Federai tion last evening, | Miss Ida Carey, Hamilton, has been elected vice-president of the New Zealand , Society of Artists. This honour ; has also been conferred on Mr. R. O. Gross, C.M.G., of Auckland. Mr. Sydney Thompson, 0.8. E. (Christchurch) , is president of the society, with which all the art societies in New Zealand are amlia'ted. Mr. and Mrs. C. D. Blakiston, Dannevirke, who went to Christchurch for the wedding of their son, the Rev. Peter Blakiston, to Miss Eileen Brad- [ shaw, which took place yesterday, are the guests of Dr. and Mrs. J. C. Brad- | shaw, Cashmere Hills. Mrs. A. J. Harrop, London, has returned to New Ze-land with her children to stay with her father, Mr. Valentine, New Plymouth. Mrs. A. S. Boldero, Devonport, who has been the guest of Major and Mrs. C. H. Gallagher, Seatoun Heights, has returned to Auckland. Mrs. A. M. Hutchinson is a delegate from the Auckland branch of the National Council of Women to the conference called by the New Zealand ObI stetrical and Gynaecological Society at Wellington. Mrs. T. Bloodworth, j Remuera, also arrived today to attend i the conference.
