WHARF FATALITY
WORKER UNDER TRUCK
DRAGGED SOME DISTANCE

Fatal injuries were received by a waterside worker on the King's Wharf when he was caught under a line of moving trucks and dragged for 25 yards. _„ Mr. Francis Gray, married, aged 57, Newton, was standing at the edge of the whari near a crane. As the train began to move off the wharf it, struck a heavy loading basket, knocking it against him, and he fell under a truck. The train was made up of about ay j 12-ton wagons and some seconds elapsed before the engine-driver was aware of rhe accident. An ambulance was sent for but Mr. Gray was dead when it arrived.
