GERMANS IN RUMANIA
AT LEAST 18 DIVISIONS
LONDON, November 7
The Istanbul correspondent of "The Times," describing the German occupation of Rumania as all-pervading, says that 18 divisions would be a moderate estimate of the Germans' strength tin Rumania at the end of September.
It has been announced that 750,000 Rumanians will be trained and incorporated in the German army. Members of the Gestapo have taken over control of the secret service. German officers have received a daily indemnity from the Rumanian Government. Troops are allowed to forward to Germany 100,000 parcels of foodstuffs a month, duty free.
