PROMOTIONS GAZETTED
NEW BRIGADIER
The following appointments of officers in the New Zealand Military Forces were gazetted last night:—
Colonel F. T. Bowerbank, 0.8. E., E.D., M.D., F.R.C.P., Edin., F.R.A.C.P., Director-General of Medical Services, Army Headquarters, is granted the temporary rank of Brigadier, while holding his present appointment. Lieutenant-Colonel I. S. Wilson, I 8.C., E.D., M.D., F.R.C.S., Eng., ST R A C.P., Assistant, Director of Medical Services, Army Headquarters, is granted the temporary rank of Colonel, while holding his present appointment. Lieutenant-Colonel B. S. Finn, D.5.0., Director of Denial Services, Army Headquarters, is granted the temporary rank of ColQnel, while holding his present appointment. The promotion of Colonel E. Puttick, D.5.0., A.D.C. to the King, to the temporary rank of Brigadier in the New Zealand Staff Corps, and of Colonel R. Miles, D.5.0., M.C., to the temporary rank of Brigadier in the Regiment of the Royal New Zealand Artillery are also gazetted. These officers have already held the higher rank in the Second N.Z.E.F. from the time of their embarkation for overseas, and the new promotions-announced merely relate to the regular units to which they also belong.
