NO AGREEMENT
No agreement was reached on hours, wages, and holidays during the second day of the indoor and outdoor (other than theatres) amusements employees' dispute yesterday, and the dispute will go to the Court.
A nine-year-old schoolgirl, Alwyn Hibblestone, of 22 Avon Street, Lower Hutt, received head and foot injuries when she was knocked down by a motor-lorry at the corner of Waiwetu Road and Collingwood Street, Lower Hutt, yesterday afternoon. The Free Ambulance took her to hospital.
Mr. S. Callan, a labourer, living at the Family Hotel, Lower Hutt, received a fractured left leg when he was caught by a rolling tree stump in Lower Hutt yesterday afternoon. The Free Ambulance took him to hospital.
