On the request of the Wool Controller in the United . Kingdom the shipment of New Zealand wool is to be pushed ahead as rapidly as possible during the coming season. This announcement was mads by the Minister of Marketing (the Hon. W. Nash) last night. . To enable the Marketing Department to make suitable shipping arrangements, said the Minister, an agreement had been reached with the New Zealand Woolbrokers' Association and the New Zealand Woolbuyers, Association to hold additional appraisals. These would take place at follows: — Auckland, October 21; Wellington, Tokomaru Bay, Tdlaga Bay, and Gisborne, October 24; Napier, October 22; Christchurch, October 25,
The appraisals were the result of a direct request from the United Kingdom, Mr. Nash added, and so that they should be successful he appealed to producers who had already shorn their sheep to send their wool to store immediately, and requested all farmers who were in a position to do so to expedite their shearing so that as much wool as possible would be available for appraisal on the dates stated.
