ISLAND BAY BAPTIST CHURCH
i The annual meeting of members of the Island Bay Baptist Church was held on Wednesday, the Rev. G. T. Beilby, M.A., presiding over a good 'attendance. Annual reports were submitted by the secretary and treasurer. ! A year of steady progress in all de- | partments of church work was revealed. Attendances during the year ! had been good, the morning service ! seeing a full church each Sunday. The treasurer reported that finance j from all sources was over £1000. The debt on the property had been liquidated, and at. the present time there was £35 to the credit of the organ fund, and £60 as a nucleus of a rebuilding fund. There were 112 members on the church roll; 87 resident, 25 non-resident. ■ The retiring deacons were re-elected for the ensuing year.
