CHEMIST CHARGED
razor Slashing alleged
Edward Henry Golding, a chemist, aged 37, appeared before Mr. J. L. Stout, S.M., in the Magistrate's Court today, charged with assaulting , Ida Winifred Whitelaw, so as to cause actual bodily harm. Sub-Inspector L. R. Capp said it was alleged that Golding had slashed the woman with a razor, and he applied for a remand until Wednesday next.
Mr. A. J. Mazengarb, who appeared for Golding, applied for bail, but this was refused by the Magistrate, who said that it would probably be in the accused's own interests not to have bail.
