GUARD COMPANY
MORE MEN WANTED
The comfort of the men of the Class II National Military Reserve Company, guarding vital points throughout the Central Military District, has been increased by the assistance of various organisations, including the Wellington Returned Soldiers' Association and associated auxiliaries. Gifts of tobacco, scarves, balaclavas, and mittens have been received at various times, also gifts in cash from the W.R.S.A. The money received has been used to augment the mess funds of various guard posts. At present there are a number of vacancies for men with not more than two dependent children under the age of 16 years. Returned soldiers between the ages of 40 and 54 are eligible for these duties. Application should be made at the guard orderly room, Buckle Street.
