COMETS AND METEORS.
The lecture on "Comets and Meteors," to be given tomorrow evening in the lecture hall of the Central Library, should be of more than ordinary interest. Comets, meteors, and shooting stars have ever been a source of wonder to people, and Mr. M. Geddes, director of the Carter Observatory, has a fine lot of lantern slides with which to illustrate his remarks. Many people want to know what happens when a meteor hits the earth: tomorrow night's lecture will answer that and many similar questions.
