WAR RELIEF ASSOCIATION
The finance committee's report presented at a meeting of the executive of the Wellington War Relief Association yesterday showed that at June 30 the association's total available funds amounted to £10,606 14s lid, the greater part of which, £10,550, was represented by investments in the common fund of the Public Trustee.
The National War Funds Council,, the finance committee reported, con-? tinued to forward grants for the relief of economic distress for unfit unemployed men in necessitous circumstances.
Since the last meeting of the executive the emergency committee reported "that it had met 15 /times and had dealt with 88 claims, all of which were referred to and confirmed by the applications committee. Fifteen cases were still under action. The number of callers at the association's office was 100.
