PETROL FOR FRANCE
NEGOTIATIONS WITH "CERTAIN COUNTRIES"

LONDON, August 2
The French Minister of Labour announced that as a result of the petrol shortage motor traffic is being reduced to one-tenth its former proportions.
He said that France is negotiating $ath "certain countries" for fresh supplies of petrol. Germany had guaranteed not to requisition petrol which France succeeded in importing.
