HARBOURMASTER SPEAKS
Incidents in the lives of the port pilots, with topical references to large liners which have recently visited Wellington, were contained in an address on piloting given by the Harbourmaster (Captain P. S. Peterson) to the luncheon gathering of the Wellington Keturned Soldiers' Association today. Colonel A. Cowles presided.
Captain Peterson described in a racy style the different weather conditions affecting pilotage, and the varying types of ships and shipmasters met by the pilots. He was given a vote of thanks for his aidress.
