WADESTOWN ROAD

(To the Editor.)

Sir, —The improvement made by the removal of the unhappy-looking pines is already shown by better visibility on this busy corner. Full approval of this work was given at the last meeting of the Beautifying Society, and it was agreed to co-operate with the City Council in a planting cere-mony on Arbor Day. Carping criticism of this work and regret for the removal of stunted trees long past their best must discourage those who are out to make Wellington a city beautiful.—l am, etc.,

DELEGATE BEAUTIFYING

SOCIETY.
