MEN MARRIED AFTER MAY 1
In answer to a question, the Minister of Defence (the Hon. F. Jones) made clear the position of men who have married since May 1. He said they would be classified as single only for the purpose of the ballot calling them up for service within the Dominion or overseas. So far as pay was concerned, they would receive the usual pay and allowances of married men. It would be unfair to treat them otherwise.
