CONFERENCE MEETING
The annual meeting of tne New Zealand Racing Conference will be held in Wellington on Friday morning of next week, but only in skeleton form,' and the only business that will be transacted is the taking of accounts and the dealing with matters of a machinery order. No alterations will be made to the Rules of Racing this year on the notices of motion that have already been given, and it is doubtful if the notices will be even discussed. Racing club delegates may still attend, but it will be at their own or their clubs' expense. The action of ■ the Conference has been taken as an economy move.
