TERRITORIAL ENGINEERS
! The 2nd Field Company Engineers held their weekly parade on Tuesday night with a full muster. The way the new recruits got down to work augurs well for the future of the unit. Because such a large percentage of the company is made up of recruits, training was confined to rifle exercises and infantry drill. In future the company will parade at the Winter Show Building. Recruits of a good type are coming in steadily in response to a call issued last week, but 100 are still required. The officers and senior n.c.o.s proceeded to Tauherenikau on Monday morning to start on a two months course of intensive training at the Central District School of Instruction, preparatory to the whole company going into camp for three months' training at Waiouru. ■
