INCREASING PRODUCTION
(Special to the "Evening Post.")
MASTERTON, This Day,
Active steps have been taken by farmers in the Wairarapa to implement the campaign to increase production in the district. At a meeting addressed by Mr. W.. J. Poison, M.P., a general committee was elected, which in turn will appoint group committees, which will contact every farmer in the district. The Masterton Primary Production Council has drawn lip a plan covering the' whole district and indicating the increases above; the usual acreage of crops, etc., required to meet the Government's request for increased production. Everything possible is being done to ensure that the response of district farmers is sufficient to meet the demands.of the situation.
The Suffolk schoolboys of Culford have planted over 6000 pine trees to replace trees felled for industry.:
