VISITOR'S CHEQUE
£1000 FOR SICK, WOUNDED,
AND DISTRESSED
A visitor from Hong Kong, has. given £1000 to the Sick, Wounded, and Distress Fund. He is Mr. S. T. Williamson, a New Zealander, who has been in business in Hong Kong for a number of years. Mr. Williamson expressed a desire to hear something of the efforts of the National Patriotic Fund Board, and after he had been given an outline of these yesterday *by the board's secretary, Mr. G. A. Hayden, he said he would like to make a contribution.* He handed Mr. Hayden a cheque for £1000 which he said he desired to go to the Sick, Wounded, and Distress Fund. Mr. Williamson was very impressed with the assistance given by . New Zealand to the British Red Cross Society" - •
