TROOPS IN GLIDERS
CAPTURE OF A BRIDGE
LONDON, May 22,
The Rome correspondent of "The Times" describes how the Germans captured a bridge over the Juliana Canal by means of gliders which were reported to be capable of carrying six to eight fully-armed men.
The success of the gliders is stated to have been due to their ability to land in a small field without noise.
