RIDING IN HIGHWEIGHT
Though no serious action was _ required, there were a number of incidents during yesterday's racing at Trentham that were considered by the judicial committee. The committee expressed dissatisfaction with the riding of Ruling Star in the Rimu Highweight Handicap, but found that there had been no malpractice. They also were of opinion that P. Burgess, the rider of Gaelic Song in the same race, had shown poor judgment in the handling of his mount. . The explanation of B. H. Morris, rider of Areas, concerning interference in the Trial Plate, was accepted by the ' committee.
