Winds. —Strong and squally westerly to southwesterly winds rising to gale force at time? in many exposed positions from Taranaki and Hawke!s Bay southwards.
Seas. —Moderate inshore on some parts of the east coast, - but otherwise erough to high.
Weather,—Mainly fair to fine, though boisterous, east of the-'main ranges. Elsewhere changeable with occasional showers, more especially in western and far southern areas of the South Island, where scattered thunderstorms are likely. Temperatures cool In the south, with further snow on the mountains. Moderate to mild elsewhore.
