Mr. John Jones, Labour member for Silvertown, has resigned his seat on account of ill health.
In the East Belfast by-election a Conservative. Mr. H. P. Harland, was returned unoppqsed. He replaces Captain Dixon, who is now Lord Glentoran.
other famous Swede Sven Utterstrom, who coached the 1936 American Olympic team and won the 18-kilometre race at Lake Placid in 1932.
When Crown Prince Gustav Adolf, of Sweden, learned that Utterstrom had joined up he cabled congratulations.
