JOINING OF FINNISH ARMY

LONDON, -Friday Night
At a Press conference in the United States today, President Roosevelt said that the Finnish Legation was doing nothing contrary to American law by answering questions by American citizens about joining the Finnish army. It was quite a different mattei from the maintenance by a foreign nation of an enlistment service in the United States. ,

WASHINGTON, January 26
President Roosevelt, at .a Press conference, said that Americans enlisting in foreign armies would sacrifice United States citizenship only if in taking oath of allegiance to a foreign Power they refuse an oath to retain their citizenship.
