REPORTED NAZI DEMAND

ABSOLUTE MONOPOLY OF PRODUCTION AND EXPORTS

ENFORCEMENT BY ARMY

(By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright.) (Received January 26, 11.30 a.m.)

PARIS, January 25

The Zurich correspondent of "Le Journal" reports that Germany has sent a written demand to Rumania for an absolute monopoly of her oil production and exports, and that German troops are in Galicia to enforce this demand. "La Victoire" says that Germany is determined to have northern Rumania and its oil and that Russia is determined to grab southern Rumania, after which Herr Hitler will be permitted to recommence his march to Istanbul.

The newspaper ' 'L'Ordre" says that Rumania is lost unless England, France, and Turkey are able to break the evertightening bonds. Britain and France have guaranteed Rumania against German aggression, but with Turkey should guarantee her against Russian invasion.
