The French Minister of Commerce, M. Gentin, accompanied by officials, has visited London for two days for the purpose of discussing with the President of the -Board of Trade andthe Parliamentary Secretary of the Overseas Trade Department a number of matters of common interest. The discussions covered the whole field of commercial relations not only between the two countries, but also with third countries, and complete agreement was reached in principle. Technical discussions will be carried on immediately between the French Ministry of Commerce and the Board of Trade in relation to questions of trade between the two countries, and on other matters the discussions will be resumed at an early date when certain further investigations have been made.
