INSTRUCTOR'S DEATH
TRAINING PLANE IN SWAMP
(Received January t 23, 9.45 a.m.) SYDNEY, This Day
When a Gipsy Moth training plane nose-dived into a mangrove swamp near Kurnell, Botany Bay yesterday, a pilot-instructor, Mr. A. F. Brown, was trapped below the surface of the water. Although breathing owhen rescued, he could not be revived. A cadet in the machine was seriously injured but was saved.
