The importance of scientific research in war and methods of testing the value of inventions offered to the defence services was discussed, in the House of Lords yesterday by the Minister for Co-ordination of Defence.
Lord Chatfield gave an assurance that the scientific talent of the country is fully mobilised. Moreover, there had been a concerted mutual exchange of scientific information between the British and French authorities. Steps were being taken in regard to inventors to safeguard their positions while the Government took advantage of their brains. .
