ANNIVERSARY DAY SPORTS
On Monday, Anniversary Day, sports meetings are to be held at Otaki and Masterton. At the end of last week negotiations were in train for the appearance of the Australian hurdles champion, S. G. Stenner, at the Masterton. meeting, which for many years has been a popular gathering with Wellington athletes. It is to be held on the Park Oval, starting at 1.30 p.m. Twenty-one athletic and cycling events comprise the programme, and trophy orders valued at. £40 are to be awarded:
