Former New Zealand athletic champions who were present last Saturday at the Country Clubs' championships, which took place on the Lower Hutt Recreation Ground. They were amongst the officials assisting at the meeting. J. Fleming (left) was the first New Zealander to run a quarter-mile in 50sec dead, J. W. McHolm (centre) is ex-New Zealand hammer-throiv champion, and F. S. Ramson (right) is ex-Australasian and ex-New Zealand 440 yds hurdles champion.
