LORD AND LADY WILLINGDON
AOTEAROA'S FLIGHT
EVANS BAY LANDING
Lord Willingdon, who will represent his Majesty's Government in the United Kingdom at the New Zealand Centennial celebrations, accompanied by Lady Willingdon and Lord Errington, private secretary, are to arrive at Wellington by the flying-boat Aotearoa this afternoon direct from Sydney. Senator the Hon. P. A. M. Mcßride, representing his Majesty's Govern-ment-in the Commonwealth of Australia at the New Zealand Centennial | celebrations, Mrs. Mcßride, and Mr. Williams, private secretary, the Hon. jF. Jones, Minister of Defence, Mrs. I Jones, and Mr. F. B. Dwyer, of the Army Department, are also making the voyage. After the Aotearoa lands and the necessary health and Customs requirements are attended to, .the party will be conveyed to a floating barge •moored to the Patent Slip jetty in Evans Bay.
The visitors will be met by Captain Lord Dormer, A.D.C., on behalf of the Governor-General, the Hon. W. Nash, M.P., on behalf of the Government. Sir Harry Batterbee, K.C.M.G., K.CsV.O., High Commissioner for the United Kingdom in New Zealand, Mr. M. A. Eliott, chairman of the Harbour Board, the Mayor, Mr. T. C. A. Hislop, C.M.G., the Australian Trade Commissioner, Mr. E. C. Critchley, M.8.E., his Majesty's Trade Commissioner, Mr. R. Boulter, C.M.G., and the Consul for France. M. "Andre Pouquet.
On landing, a short address of welcome will.be delivered by the chairman of the Harbour Board, and Lord Willingdon and Senator Mcßride will reply. At the conclusion of the addresses, the party will proceed to the Hotel Waterloo, where they will reside during their sojourn in the Capital City.
