APPOINTMENTS GAZETTED
The following appointments, promotions, etc., of officers of the New Zealand Military Forces were gazetted last night:—
Commands.—Major H. W. D. Blake, Regiment of N.Z. Artillery, relinquishes command of the 16th Light Battery on being seconded for duty with the Special Force. Captain N. W. M. Hawkins, Regiment of N.Z. Artillery, is appointed to command the 16th Light Battery.
N.Z. Staff Corps.—The following staff cadets, on graduation from the Royal Military College of Australia, to be Lieutenants: —R. A. Bay, R. McK. Paterson, D. P. Dumbleton, L. A. Kerniode, A. Molineaux, B. R. Bullot, D. C. Powrie, E. H. L. Maxwell, J. A. Poutney, C. R. Nathan, W. R. K. Morrison, L. G. S. Cross, D. Harrowell. N.Z. Army Ordnance Corps.—F. D. McWha, on graduation from the Royal Military College of Australia, to be Lieutenant. N.Z. Army Pay Corps.—Hon. Lieutenant D. M. Eckhoff, to be Hon. Captain. N.Z. Temporary Staff. Lieutenant-Colonel Sir Alexander Roberts, K.8.E., to be LieutenantColonel, and is appointed Embarkation Staff Officer. Lieutenant D. A. Ewen to be Captain and is appointed Assistant Embarkation Officer. Hon. Captain G. Prictor, to be Captain, and is appointed Assistant Embarkation Officer. Captain O. E. L. Rout, B.D.S. (N.Z.), N.Z. Dental Corps, to be Captain, and is appointed Principal Dental Officer, Dental Section, Burnham Mil't^r Camp.
F. C. Gentry, M.8.E., to be Captain, and is appointed Railway Transport Officer, Wellington.
Lieutenant C. L. Meredith-Kay, to be Lieutenant, and is appointed Deputy Assistant Quartermaster - General, Southern Military District, Christchurch.
R. W. Mallasch to be Lieutenant, and is appointed Mechanical Transport Technical Officer, Trentham Military Camp,
