CARS WANTED

COLLECTION OF BOOKS

The Automobile Association (Wellington) is appealing to motorists to assist Boy Scouts in their efforts next Saturday to collect books and reading 'material' for soldiers. It was stated last night that 40 cars are needed for this work, and that collecting would start at 9 a.m.

It is proposed to make a house-to-house canvas in Wellington city and suburbs. The Boy Scouts will call for the books, and the cars are required to provide transport. Receiving depots will be established in the suburbs, and motorists who respond to the appeal will.not be required to work in more than one "suburb.

A central receiving depot will be located in the city area, to which the books collected will be transferred from' suburban' depots later*
