Mrs. F. N. R. Metfdows, '.'Eastward Ho," Lower Hutt, left by the Limited express last night to visit her daughter, Mrs. Theo Busch, Titirangi, Auckland.

Miss Eileen Rose, Christchurch, has been appointed to the staff of the art school at the Technical College, Wellington, and will take up her new duties early in February. -Since her return to Christchurch from London and Paris last August, Miss Rose has filled a temporary position on the staff of the Christchurch Girls' High School and the Christchurch West High School.

Mrs. W. Angus (Christchurch), Mrs. E. Ashton (New Plymouth), and Mrs. Sutherland (Dunedin) are staying at the Hotel St. George.
