The hearing of the application by the New Zealand. Theatrical and Places of Amusement Employees' Union for a new award was continued in conciliation council yesterday afternoon and today before the Conciliation Commissioner, Mi". M. J. Reardon. Agreement was reached on clauses affecting overtime for employees working in excess of the hours stipulated, the employing of caretakers for Sunday performances, and for deductions in pay for time lost because of sickness or accident or when the theatres are closed through circumstances over which the employer has no control. The hearing is continuing.
