CHRISTCHURCH, September 19,
Because J. Purdue, Southland halfback, is not available, J. J. McAuliffe (Canterbury) has been included in the list of emergencies for the South Island team. A. G. Hunter, one of nine Canterbury players chosen to take part in the trial matches, has announced that, because of university examinations, he is not available for the trials, which will begin on Saturday.
