DISPLAY IN D.I.C. LOUNGE.
FORD FACTORY IN MINIATURE,
If you want to share the experiences of Gulliver in the Lilliputian world, you should pay a visit this week to the lounge of the D.1.C., Lambton Quay, and inspect the remarkable model of the New Zealand Ford Factory.
The huge motor-building plant at Lower Hutt: has been faithfully reproduced in miniature to a scale of one inch to 10 feet. The display is in motion so that you are able to watch model cars in various stages of completion passing along the slowly-moving conveyors while a travelling crane inside and completed cars and trucks speeding round the test-track outside add further activity.
Several months were required to build this outstanding model, and, either from an entertainment or instructive point of view it is decidedly worth a special visit.
Each day, between 12.30 p.m. and 4.30 p.m., a commentator from Ford Motor Company, Limited, will be in the D!I.C. Lounge to explain the many intriguing oper2^iiessS?sh f swn.i ns ,th.e model.
