INSURANCE AGAINST HAIL

A decision to ask the Minister of,' Industries and Commerce (the Hoix. D. G. Sullivan) to inquire into the possibility oi! arranging for insuring wheat crops against damage done bfy hail was reached at yesterday's meeting of the North Canterbury provincial executive, states "The Press," Christchurch, of today. The Minister, also, it was agreed, should institute inquiries into the extent of crop insurances overseas. Several members urged that the scope of the insurance should include other forms of weather troubles, but it was finally agreed to confine it to hail.
