In the best game of the tournament to date the Hawke's Bay primary school Association football representatives beat the Taranaki boys by 1 goal to 0 at Kelburn Park yesterday I afternoon. A game between Wellington and Manawatu resulted in a 6-1 win for Wellington. Today Taranaki beat Wellington 3-0, and the tournament, which is for the primary schools in the southern section of the North Island, was to have concluded this afternoon with games between Manawatu and Wanganui. and Wellington and Hawke's Bay. The latter match was virtually a final, as a win for Hawke's Bay or a draw would give Hawke's Bay the championship, whereas a win for Wellington would mean that Wellington, Hawke's Bay, and Taranaki would! finish equal. _______„ i
