A SERIES COMMENCED

ißy Air Mail, rrom "The Post's" London Representative.) LONDON, August 3. When the 8.8.C.'s feature programme "Aotearoa" was broadcast this week, the Hon. W. Nash, Minister of Finance, and the High Commissioner, Mr. W. J. Jordan, and Mrs. Jordan were invited by Sir Stephen Tallents to Broadcasting House to "listen in." Also invited were members of the New Zealand Public Relations Council, who arranged with the 8.8.C. the broadcast as the first of a series to commemorate New Zealand's Centenary. The Hon. F. Langstone, Minister of Lands, who took part in the broadcast, was present later after the party had been shown round the building. Both Mr. Jordan and Mr. Langstone thanked Sir Stephen for the opportunity of being present at Broadcasting House on such an interesting occasion. Sir Stephen briefly replied. Among those taking part in the programme was Mr. Roy Emerton, who was in New Zealand from 1910 to 1912. He worked on farms and on the Aramoho Bridge; one of his jobs was that of lamp-lighter at Wanganui. He has a brother who is fanning at Waihi. In February and March there is to be an hour's broadcast about New Zealand every Friday night in the national programme.
