TERRORISM

Shanghai is armed to the teeth in order to prevent terrorists celebrating the second anniversary of the outbreak of hostilities.
No further Jewish refugees will be allowed after August 21 in the section of the International Settlement that is occupied by Japanese.
The Shanghai correspondent of "The Times" states that, the authorities rejected the British protest against the attack last week on British offices, on the ground that the. demonstrations were a spontaneous expression by the Chinese people, but they declared that violence will not again be permitted. Peking reports that the anti-British campaign is extending. A mob of Chinese stormed the premises of the Asiatic Petroleum Company at Tsoshan and stole 1200 tins of kerosene.
Many Chinese attending an anti-Bri-tish congress in Tientsin object to unifying the campaigns in China and Manchukuo. -
